We prescribe and evaluate all major brands of soft and ridged contact lenses. Additionally, we prescribe custom designed contact lenses for special needs as well as special eye problems. Specialized fitting may include Monovision, bifocal contact lenses, astigmatism contacts and Keratoconus. We have experience in modifying and polishing contacts. Our staff are able to answer many of your questions and are available for ongoing contact lens instruction and training.
Eye Surgery
Our office provides surgical services such as Cataract surgery, Laser surgery, refractive surgery and strabismic surgery. We offer this on a co-management basis in conjunction with Bay Eye Clinic eye surgeons and Curry General Hospital. Additionally, we have working arrangements established with other specialized eyecare doctors to manage such things as retinal detachments, retinal tears and hemorrhages.
We provide these services under a co-management program with affiliated doctors. You, the patient, benefit from the cooperative and combined efforts of doctors working together on your behalf.
Low Vision
People who have lost eyesight due to injuries or eye disease need special types of products to help them function as independently as possible. We offer a full range of these products through our office and through our Web Site under the "OnLine Shopping" section. Our paraoptometric staff are trained to demonstrate the use of some of these devices. They range all the way from a simple hand magnifier to a closed circuit tv system. In addition, we can direct those who have low vision problems to products that will help them carry on the day-to-day tasks which they are needing to perform. In some cases we can set up a program for the low-vision patient with the National Library of Congress to receive "books on tapes", which is a service for the blind.
Insurance Assistance
We work with most of the major insurance companies and HMOs. However, there are so many different companies and so many different plans within each company, it is difficult to know all the allowed fees. Prior to an examination, we recommend that you review your benefits with a representative from your insurance company. We are ready to help you in any way we can.
The following are some of the insurance companies and HMOs which we are familiar with:

Emergency Services
Eye injuries and infections are best handled immediately. If a delay occurs, recovery is more difficult and sometimes permanent eye damage remains. We are available on an "on-call" basis to protect your eyesight. Call us at anytime if you think an eye emergency is occurring:
